The first time Pelagic Life contacted Gabino on Magbay was in 2010 and it wasn't until 2011 when we visited Puerto San Carlos. We are proud that the community of San Carlos has welcomed us for so many years and together we work for the good of the pelagic fauna of the area. Today the service providers of San Carlos (Gabino, included) have already seen how to capitalize on their heritage by protecting wild animals (and not killing them!). We are sure that this is only the beginning of a cultural and environmental strengthening of Magdalena Bay.
The marlin run and bait balls are in constant threat of illegal commercial fishing, excessive sport fishing, unethical spearfishermen and foreign operators. Support local operators and the community to strengthen the sustainability of responsible tourism with pelagics.
