Por más de 20 años el Acuario de Veracruz, A.C. ha sido responsable de proteger las hembras y nidos de tortuga carey que arriban a las islas del parque nacional, este esfuerzo ha sido posible gracias al trabajo que realizan en conjunto con los pescadores de la zona.

Este año se ha logrado el registro histórico de 143 nidos en las islas, por lo que es importante continuar esta labor.

Desafortunadamente por cuestiones económicas, los patrullajes para el registro de hembras y vigilancia de los nidos serán suspendidos de manera temporal.

For more than 20 years, the Veracruz Aquarium has been responsible for protecting the females and hawksbill nests that arrive on the islands of the national park, this effort has been possible thanks to the work carried out in conjunction with the fishermen of the area.
