Description

The giant mantas of the Caribbean are an unusual treat in this part of Mexico. To get to these remote submerged mountain ranges one has to make a 40-60 mile trip from Cancun. Once you arrive to these cleaning stations you dive into a pristine reef that sits at around 70 ft. Due to hard currents water visibility is usually above 100 feet which makes this gentle giant encounter one of a kind.

Normally it takes more than 3 hours to cruise to this location and it is common to make a two tank dive in these peaks. Diving certification is required and scuba experience is recommended due to hard currents and distance from any help. September and October are ideal months for this expedition because of the ideal weather conditions
